It's a blog. She can do whatever she wants, and I am certain you don’t a have a problem with free speech. You should also note that the blog is titled “Thoughts from a Musician,” which does not imply that the blog is based solely on music. If that was your problem, I would expect to see similar comments on the food and other humor-based posts.
Anonymous, you don’t have to find it funny for it to be a joke. You are correct, he is a democrat. However, he doesn’t seem to have been very political in his life, only ever publicly backing one president (Obama). I believe he was chosen because his pose and facial expression fit the tone of the caption.
